Fundraising
Each year WLASA nominates a charity for which it raises money. The charities chosen are organisations which work to promote and support women and whose activities are consistent with the following objectives of WLASA:
- To achieve justice and equality for all women
- To further understanding of and support for the legal rights of women
- To identify, highlight and eradicate discrimination against women inherent in the legal system and in the community generally
In addition to making a donation to the nominated charity out of the association’s own funds, WLASA also promotes the charity at some of its events by encouraging its members to participate in fundraising raffles and to make donations on their own behalf.

BWN program (fistula clinic in the African country of Burkina Faso)
Cambodia Family Support
Migrant Women’s Support Service Inc (South Australia)
Seeds of Affinity – Pathway for Women
The Birthing Kit Foundation (Australia)
The Trailblazing Women and the Law Project
Women’s Community Centre (Stepney)
